iTunes and Hopes and Reddit... Oh, my!

I used to buy over 100 albums every year and listen to them in turn. When the computer got iTunes, I'd burn music to my playlist accordingly. Oh, yes. I was THAT gung-ho! And then, well, CDs become a bit obsolete and so, it was all mp3s!... And then, now, it's all about Shazam-ing music on the radio and adding it to my iTunes collection. And now, Umbrella Thoughts has been added to the Podcast family!!

Now, The CoTangent just needs to be fixed and added so that the world can access that one! I mean, through the thick and thin, Ed and I have been able to hang and grow up. I guess, that's a good sign of a strong foundational friendship?

I am on Reddit! Yes! Finally! Found time to sit down and make a profile... LOL!! I used to look at it to see what's going on, but now, I can contribute and be in the community!! How fun!! At last!!

"Purple" Pleasure Prince

I started this post and yet, was always unable to finish it because Prince, to be perfectly honest, was the first artist that corrupted me into fantasizing about romance and music. And my all-time favorite is “When Doves Cry” (1984). Naturally, I loved the Quindon Tarver version from "Romeo And Juliet" (1996), and when I tweeted him for his response to the passing of Prince, he actually tweeted me back!

What surprises me most is the lack of response from the Asian music industries. I mean, most of their music is derived from the legend that was Prince and those who were influenced by him. Michael Jackson got more of a response than Prince did, and yet, Prince had more well-known hits. Sure, he didn't boast about it, but he is quiet the exceptional musician! 

What I didn't know the most about Prince was that he was SUCH a good person! Check out all the charities and causes he supported!! OMG. Such a great man, a legend, and game changer in the entertainment/music industry. Prince will sorely be missed. RIP.
